What about when we return?
1.What steps have been taken to make sure the building is safe to return to? Before the first day we resume meeting, we will have a team of workers come in and clean and disinfect the facility. That process will take place before each time we meet for as long as the threat continues. 2.What about the seating arrangement in classes and during worship?
We will take steps to ensure that appropriate social distancing can be maintained at all times and in all places while people are on the property. That will likely include things like assigned seating and ushers seating people to maintain the required social distancing. We should note that families who live and travel together will be seated together and we will ask that you remain together while on the property. There may also be restrictions on things like where you enter and exit the building, how many people are allowed in the restrooms at one time, nursery, etc..
3.What about the fellowship time?
The fellowship time is one Victory’s most enjoyed times and we want that to continue. HOWEVER, we need to consider the circumstances and ask that you understand that we will need to make appropriate modifications to the fellowship time to maintain safe guidelines. You will be instructed as to what those guidelines are and we ask that you PLEASE follow those guidelines for your safety and the safety and concerns of others.
4.What about communion and offering?
For Communion: We have obtained prepackaged communion for use during this time. In addition we will not be passing the communion plates but will have the prepackaged units available for you to pick up as you enter the building.
For Offering: We will not be passing offering plates. We will have a place available for you to deposit your offering while you are in the building without passing the plates as we have traditionally done in the past.
5.What about PPE? (Personal protective equipment)
Hands - We will have hand sanitizer available for your use while in the building, and as always hand soap and paper towels will be in the restrooms.
Masks and gloves- We do not anticipate for masks or gloves to be required but encourage you to bring your own if you are more comfortable using them.
Should I come if I am sick, elderly, or have an underlying health condition?
Sick or underlying health condition -
We are concerned about your safety and the safety of your family and friends. Therefore we recommend that you stay at home if you are sick of have an underlying health condition that could put you or someone else at risk.
We encourage you to use your best judgment when deciding whether to attend. To help you decide here is a quote from the CDC web site. According to the CDC – “Older adults, 65 years and older, are at a higher risk for severe illness. COVID-19 is a new disease and we are learning more about it every day.”
You should also know that we plan on continuing to post the services and Bible studies on Facebook and you-tube for those of you who are unable to return during this time.
Please understand that when we return, things are going to look a little different than you are used to and the services will be conducted a little different than in the past. These modifications are necessary and we expect them to be temporary. We just want you to be informed and prepared on what to expect when you first come back. One thing is for sure… we miss and love you and we are excited as we prepare for that day when we can resume meeting together. SEE YOU SOON!!!
